May Check-In

May is my favorite month-and I cannot believe how fast it went!

My workouts have definitely decreased in length & intensity over the past month. I still try to do low impact Turbofire HIIT workouts and T25 workouts, but more of my cardio is walking based. I still do my morning workouts but find I have less energy (which is true most of the day)...plus I'm getting bored w/ the workouts I have. I have to modify a lot and some moves I just can't do. I have noticed my strength has greatly decreased, so that is something I'll be focusing on more after baby.

I am so lucky that my college friend Amanda lives nearby (and is due just 3 weeks before me) so we meet for walks by the river at least once a week.

I'm trying to eat healthy, I'm trying to eat healthy! I have my splurges most every night-a small bowl of ice cream, Lucky Charms for breakfast, iced coffee on the weekend. But I do still try to eat healthy foods every day. I haven't had any crazy cravings, but am less focused on calories than I was pre-pregnancy. That is a good thing in some respects, but I just need to make sure I balance my calories in & out, especially after baby gets here.

Weight Gain:
I was 34 weeks on May 29th. And up about 28 pounds. I'm happy with my weight gain, especially since my eating & exercise isn't always as great as it should be.

What Else:
May 2nd, my husband & I celebrated our 6 year anniversary. We grabbed coffee in the morning, then spent the afternoon with family & friends watching the Kentucky Derby and celebrating my sister's 30th birthday.

My family threw my husband & I a baby shower. I know every parent says it, but this baby is so loved & spoiled already.

We also got maternity photos done mid-month.

Hard to believe my due date is fast approaching (July 10). I'll blink and be back into a more normal eating & exercise routine before I know it--although I know it may never be quite the same again. :)
