26.2 miles including about 3,000 feet of ascent on a mixture of tracks, a little bit of road, grass, rocks and squelchy mud.
Beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains. The weather was good for running - a little light rain from time to time, cool breeze and sunny towards the end.
I managed to run the whole way and finished in 5 hours and 9 minutes. After putting some warm clothes on my upper body, I went and stood thigh-deep in the lake to help my legs recover - or at least to wash off the mud!
Stiff and sore now, but that's OK. Thanks to those of you who sent me good wishes.
