Yesterday we got up early to spend the day exploring the Niagara Falls, New York area. Rain is in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning so we wanted to make sure we had a sunny, clear day for this event.
This is the Rainbow Bridge that crosses over from the United States into Canada. The Falls are in the background.
Here you can see the Falls as you look over into Canada.
We were blessed to see a rainbow at the bottom of the Falls as we shot this picture.
The Maid of the Mist carries passengers as close to the bottom of the Falls as possible. There they experience the spray of water as the Falls crash down to the river below.
This is the Niagara River just above the Falls.
The American Falls and the Canadian Falls are divided in the river by Goat Island. This is the American Falls taken from the island.
From the Falls we traveled NE up the coast to Youngstown, New York, and the Fort Niagara State Park. From here across Lake Ontario we could see the skyline of Toronto, Canada.
What a great time we had exploring the Niagara Falls area! It truly is a wonder of God's Creation that we were blessed to view!
