One Was Enough

Sunday, June 07, 2015

I usually rest and give in to a few goodies that I've deprived myself of all week on the weekends. Now I'm going to give myself one day. Saturday. On Sunday, I begin again.

Two days, for me, tends to turn into three, etc. So yesterday I had my one Reese's peanut butter cup and gave the other to my son. And guess what? One was enough. I used to buy the king size with all intentions of sharing. But I never did. emoticon

I feel like I no longer crave sugar. I swear, that stuff was gonna kill me. I drank, ate and breathed sugar. I feel so much better without it controlling my life.

I used to visit the flea market on Sunday mornings because they have this awesome candy shop that sells all sorts of vintage candies. YUM! Today, I'm going to buy a bag of peanuts, from the same shop, and get my walk in while absorbing some much needed vitamin D. emoticon

    Great willpower but be careful with the peanuts. They are very high in calories…;o)

    I gave up sugar this year, just stopped buying it and no one really noticed. Weaned the family off soda several years ago and buy carbonated water, with no sugar/fake sugar additives and we are just fine. It does calm you down a bit;

    Those Reese's were my fave growing up; I still have a sweet tooth and every now and then add peanut butter to my chocolate ice cream

    Enjoy your walk emoticon emoticon
