Trials on getting naked!

Monday, May 25, 2015

These are Grandchildren---It was a Birthday Party---
We left the puppy Beau at home---We crated him---
Tess the other German (as in dog) was with him---
She has had a bit of a set back with her toe nail having to be removed, but began to eat yesterday once again---I have been soaking her foot in Epsom salts.

Himself has been on night duty with Beau -(-Himself did not want another puppy)
He announced that last night , Beau slept from 11pm to 5-30pm-----without an accident--pretty good for only being here a week!

This is Beau---who will be 3 mos June 9th---large puppy!

Tess is not exactly in love with him!

So, how am I doing with Spark?
....terrible! --I haven't gained weight--but I haven't lost any either--
But----I am hopeful that my desire to lose, will become a reality----to-day!!
Summer clothes fit now-----but how will I ever get to tip toe thru the tulips--naked--if I don't get rid of the rolls under my arm?

Lord love a Duck!!!

Don't worry, Tess will soon be loving Beau. The mastiff transferred his love for Indy (as you know no longer with us) to the Menlo the sheepdog who is aloof. But then Menlo is aloof with everyone. part of the breed. Notice though now when there is a thunderstorm he runs and looks for the mastiff. It used to be Indy he ran to but knows he is not here anymore.

Dogs like people have such distinct personalities, likes and dislikes. We once had a real Alpha male Bluetick hound that would throw himself against the front door when the UPS/FedEx man came but was afraid of the rain and would only go out off the front porch on his leash just long enough to whiz. Indy was not afraid of anything but both Fasa and Menlo are afraid of most everything, one thing being aluminum foil. Menlo is afraid of lights going out, flashlights, candles and of course thunderstorms. Fasa the 150 pound, mean looking mastiff is afraid of people coming in the house and hides under the dining room table. Oh and he is also afraid of aluminum foil and UPS boxes. Go figure!!

Little Beau will soon be adored by Miss Tess. How could she resist him? emoticon

emoticon Lynda, try to maintain, but don't gain. Beau is a handsome German Shepherd dog. Hope he continues to improve his behavior.

Oh, Lynda, your Grandblessings are so very adorable! Every time you post photos of them, I have the overwhelming urge to reach right into the photo & scoop them up and then keep them for lovely additions to the "Vision 5" (our five Grandblessings). You are blessed to have most of the little ones nearby - always someone to give & receive hugs & smiles from!

Beau is a cutie, too! He looks right at home in all the photos you have shared. I do get a chuckle when looking at the second photo of him in today's line up. That look on his face has me smiling & wondering what he is thinking! Too cute!

I hear you on the woes of this weight dropping, lifestyle challenge, path we have chosen for ourselves! I have regained two of my hard lost pounds - never did want to find them again, either! So, my aim for the coming week is to drop those what you term as "recycled pounds". emoticon

    God blessed!

What a great picture of the little ones! Love the title to your blog, still smiling! It's had to keep focused on our health when there is chaos, and bringing home a new puppy is definitely chaos.

Lo!... it is more an rolls under my arms I would need to get rid of. But then I have a long way to go to just be able to wear shorts in public. You put a a smile on my face this morning. I needed you this morning. Hope Tess feels better real soon and little Beau is a big puppy. Hugs

Wouldn't it be nice if we could just "nip & tuck" and the rolls were gone? Think of all the weight we'd lose at the same time!

Tess will eventually love Beau just like you....it's hard for her losing one and then "replacing" (not really) the other German with this wee one. It will be fine and they will be fast friends before you know it.

I was actually "down" myself this morning so your blog was a WELCOME smile, laugh, and lift to the spirit!

Poor Tess! Hope her toe gets better! It'll take time for her to love Beau, but it'll happen.

Well, there is midnight skinny-dipping on moonless cloudy nights!

You are just too love-able (and loved by your family, I am sure) to be so very focused on the fact that there is more of you to love than you wish there to be.
AND emoticon on NOT gaining, imagine what would have happened had you not be working so very hard. (at least that is what I keep telling myself! - I have been stuck at the same weight +/- a pound or two for what seems like forever)

More important than what the scales say is that we get our bodies as fit as we can... thus increasing our chances for a better quality of life for a longer period of time.

Give yourself some love ... and don't say things to yourself that you would NOT say to a friend (that you want to keep as a friend!)

Happy Monday !! Love and Hugs, Audra
