Cheat Days Make Me Sad :/

Saturday, May 09, 2015

Weekends are so difficult for us to eat well because we are constantly going out and don't often bring food with us as we never know where or what we will be doing. This has become a challenge for us, but the weekdays are going well! I wish the weekends didn't undo the weekdays :/ My goal for May: stop using weekends as an excuse!

Thank you everyone for the advice and stories of how you conquered this setback. We are going away tomorrow and Wednesday and I plan to stay on track while we are away!

I like your goal about not allowing weekends to be an excuse! I think I will "borrow" it as one of my goals, too!

If you try different things, like taking snacks or being very careful about what you order for food and drink, you will find a way to succeed. You can't just keep doing things the same way though.

Enjoy every bite of when you eat.
If you do, you will eat what is right for you!

That used to happen to the hubs and I too. We'd take off on the motorcycle and hook up with friends and the next thing you know we've been gone half the day and we're starving! Now we keep a little cooler in the touring box, we toss a couple of waters, some fruit, nuts and maybe granola bars and we're set! It really doesn't take much planning if you keep some portable type foods on hand. emoticon

Weekends are super hard for me. I always overeat. Research the menu ahead of time if you can before going out.

Weekends are probably the hardest for me too. I have gotten where I do good most of the time now, but they were/are the hardest part of my week. You can and will find a way to integrate healthy eating into your weekend and make a better you!

It's hard when things are up in the air to stay consistent. But you can do it.

Cheat days serves no purpose. You can always pack healthy snacks with you and order salads with dressing on the side if you are in a restaurant for lunch. Dinners, grilled chicken or fish...You are absolutely right not to make weekends as an excuse for not losing any weight!

Maybe you can just throw a few things in the cooler when you go. That way the whole weekend won't be a loss.
