Step challenge update

Thank you, Up24 and my sweet husband for giving me this Christmas gift!

Setting step goals and using my Up tracker are helping me have positive results. I was so surprised when I saw the alert on my iPad that I had walked 1,000,000 steps between Christmas and early April. My early struggle to average 5,000 steps a day has now reached an daily average of at least 13,000 steps and usually is closer to 15,000.

If I have a busy day, then I get those steps by using 5 or 10 minute "walking spurts." I've also started driving the car less and less. Since I live in a small town, the utility offices, medical facilities, and stores are all within 3 miles of home. Instead of driving in a circle around town or mailing payments, I deliver them in person. of course, I don't pay them all the same day, so I can get several walks to accomplish this task!

Am I seeing positive results? "You betcha!"

I feel so much better and have more energy.
My arthritic joints are not as painful and more flexible.
I have dropped 2 or 3 dress sizes.
I look forward to the daily challenge of making those step goals, and am generally more active.
Finally, the scales have moved downward over 22 pounds since Christmas.
