these things I noticed today about my changes after being in an exercise class
-last evening I watched some children who have a hyperactive dad, who by trying his best, flew in, got food on a plate for his children, and readied himself and one of the children to fly out to the activity of the evening. He was getting all huffy about what needed to happen in the few minutes that he was there, as if his life depended on getting twenty years of discipline into those few minutes. And the focus landed on the fact that the tv was on, that was the source where if things had been left, might have been a source of frustration and tears. I was in a tight spot, how to help with out telling him he was a real doofus.....I've noticed some quiet things happening to me, and instead of tensing up, I was able to reach down, not give eye contact to anyone or say anything, and turn the tv off. It was an unexpected move on my part, and one that neither the dad or the children have seen me do in the past. Thank you yoga!
--finally, I was able to get some protein based meals into the freezer and I was able to fix one of the meals with a banana, and vegetable. I didn't focus on the carbs, cause carbs for me, are very easy for me to add to my diet.
--This morning, I was able to grab an apple and a piece of cheese to eat on the way to yoga. After class, I had an egg and a cup of coffee (which by the way, I'm cutting down on). Then I went to pay my cable bill and the line was so long, I waited, and then didn't understand their numbers, so was able to excuse myself to return later today with a better understanding of why they are figuring what they are figuring. I'm better at saying, hey, I need to be on the same page.
--After asking, my Wed yoga teacher said the Sun Salutation was the best thing to start with for at home, and today, I was able to get to my home floor to begin.
