Have I been reduced to Strawberries and Kale

I was on vacation in Myrtle Beach this past week and when I saw a picture of myself someone had taken, I literally wanted to bury my head in the sand. I looked enormously huge -- not just huge, but enormously so. At first I was a little disgusted, upset, whatever, but I decided to let it be my "before" picture and I will use it as motivation to change how and what I eat. The good news is that I happen to like Kale and strawberries. Before though, I would have never thought of eating them as an afternoon snack. Since I joined SparkPeople 10 days ago, I have stayed within the designated calories for the day and have been exercising more, even while on vacation. My weigh-in day is Saturday and if I have lost even one pound (or not), I say bring on the strawberries and Kale.

    Great attitude! I have been all over the place with my calories lately. I also have a recent vacation photo that I'm thinking is going to be my "before" photo.

    Good job ! I would count this as a NSV finding the motivation to reach for health because of a picture. Just remember to be kind to yourself and love yourself. you are what you are. You are who you are. This does not change because of your body size being large, medium or small. Continue to learn and keep pushing !
