Have I been reduced to Strawberries and Kale

I was on vacation in Myrtle Beach this past week and when I saw a picture of myself someone had taken, I literally wanted to bury my head in the sand. I looked enormously huge -- not just huge, but enormously so. At first I was a little disgusted, upset, whatever, but I decided to let it be my "before" picture and I will use it as motivation to change how and what I eat. The good news is that I happen to like Kale and strawberries. Before though, I would have never thought of eating them as an afternoon snack. Since I joined SparkPeople 10 days ago, I have stayed within the designated calories for the day and have been exercising more, even while on vacation. My weigh-in day is Saturday and if I have lost even one pound (or not), I say bring on the strawberries and Kale.
