A beautiful day for a last 10K training run
Saturday, April 18, 2015
I decided to get out this morning for one last training run before the real thing next Saturday and it was so gorgeous out, a perfect 62 degrees and a little breezy. I am not sure what the weather will be next week for the actual race, last year it was really cold but today was great.
So off I went. This lake is about 1.6 miles around so I did 4 laps and by the last one, I was getting pretty tired but I talked myself through it and I completed the distance and then some.
I am confident that I will do just fine next week.
That was a big worry for me, running outside instead of on the treadmill,
Somehow there is quite a difference between the 2 but now that I have run the distance a few times outside, I know I can do it for real next week but I will hope for no snow, or rain or really icky weather.
Here are a few more beautiful pics of the area that I took as I walked around a bit to cool down.
The trees are finally budding and turning green.
I loved the little red buds on this tree. Ready for another new year to come to life
Get out there and have a great day! The possibilities are endless!
