Psychology extra credit project

Well if I need any motivation to work out I have one now! My psychology professor is giving us 50 extra credit points if we work out for at least 30 minutes a day, four days a week, and then record how we feel on a scale of one to five. We're supposed to do this before and after our little ten week experiments. I'm excited for this. So here we go. This what I'm supposed to be rating:

Please rate each of the following:
1. Sleep: poor --- below average --- average --- above average --- excellent
2. Energy: poor --- below average --- average --- above average --- excellent
3. Feeling stressed: poor --- below average --- average --- above average --- excellent
4. Mood: poor --- below average --- average --- above average --- excellent
5. Emotional control: poor --- below average --- average --- above average --- excellent
6. Appetite: poor --- below average --- average --- above average --- excellent
7. Cognitive functioning poor --- below average --- average --- above average --- excellent

So for the first week:
1. Sleep: below average. Not surprising. I share a room with a toddler and she hasn't been adjusting well to sharing a room with me.
2. Energy: below average. I think this may be caused by a lack of sleep, although I tend to feel tired even with a good night's rest.
3. Feeling stressed: average. I have my worries but I can brush most things aside.
4. Mood: below average. most days I feel a little depressed and lonely
5. Emotional control: above average. I think I hold my emotions in check even in spite of my moodiness
6. Appetite: excellent: really it's out of control. I would like to see this kept in check
7. Cognitive functioning: below average. I feel like I get everything done but like I'm powering through. I love that I can memorize sixteen different orders on the spot and that I never need a notepad when I'm waitressing but It doesn't feel as easy as it used to.

Anyway, that's my first week. I will be posting weekly updates as I go and maybe even throughout the week as well.

    What a great idea!! Everybody needs motivation and you're getting yours from a classroom. Who cares where it comes from as long as it's there!! Keep it up and get that extra credit!!

    Well that brings a whole new meaning with killing two birds with one stone, or so they say! I might have liked school more if I had instructors like yours. emoticon IT really is amazing how exercise can impact your life though- making you sleep better, raising your mood and energy and decreasing all the stresses in life! You'd think it'd appeal to more people- however it still remains a struggle for me and I know how different I feel from it. Just one of those things I guess! Also two words: Ear plugs (unless of course you're responsible for said child....then perhaps emoticon ) Good luck on your assignment!
