Not Making The Time

Tuesday, April 07, 2015

I do wish I made the time to blog more on SP, but I just can't seem to get it together. I won't say "I wish I had the time" because I know I DO have the time and it's all about re-prioritizing everything, but I just haven't made it work. But here I am.

Things:
1. I got a new job!! After 8 years at my current job (a small entertainment marketing company), I will be done as of this Thursday (April 9th) and starting at Warner Bros. on April 13th! I am nervous but excited!

2. We got a 2nd dog!! The story behind this ... well I saw her on the LA Animal Services site... don't ask why I was looking I guess I am just silly. So this dog looked SO much like our Minnie that I couldn't stop checking on her. Then I noticed a few days later that the shelter had named her Minnie! That's our dog! So we felt like it was a sign and went to check her out. Which is silly because once we were there, there was basically no way we weren't leaving with her. We re-named her Margot since we can't have two Minnies! She's really skinny and needs to gain some weight, so we're working on it!

3. I gained a few more lbs since the last challenge. Things have been so crazy with a 2nd dog, getting her trained, getting the other dog comfortable with a new situation, we've been running around like crazy and I haven't made the time to meal plan like I should. My steps are up but my actual workouts are down since I haven't made the time for classes. Note I am saying MADE the time as opposed to "haven't HAD the time." Anyway, the new challenge is starting and I am hoping to make progress this time. Now to do more than hope, and make it happen.

That's it for now! Need to get back to work since I have just a couple days left to wrap everything up!

What an adorable pooch! Enjoy the new family member.

I know what you mean about not making the time you need to for yourself. I'm finding that as I've started to make that time it doesn't keep me from doing all the other things I need to do. By making the time I need to plan and exercise and blog I find I have more energy and am more motivated to do what needs to be done. By taking the time for myself I'm finding I seem to have more time in the day. I'm using it more efficiently I guess.

Good luck with this Spring challenge. emoticon
