I went to a clinic, months after being recommended for a knee brace.
Let's back up.... I have osteoarthritis, and it's definitely been causing me "knee discomfort"... many years after being in denial I went to the Knee Replacement Clinic with my family doctor referral... I have moderate to severe arthritis in my left knee, less in my right knee. The physio there recommended I get a brace but I had no clue as to what type, size, etc. Months later (recently), I get a flyer in the mail giving a discount on a custom knee brace. Awesome, sounds like what I need.
I call, they tell me the price... I call another business, they give me an appointment that day that works for me... a very long story short... he touches my knee cap during the exam (picture this... I'm pushing 50, feeling very "well travelled and barely fueled" and he looks like he is in his late 20s and equivalent to a thin tree branch that would never break, but very good looking) and he says "strong"... of course I heard but I asked him to repeat what he said, and he does.... I'm giving great thanks (which, I'm sure, confused him... or, perhaps, made him realize my desperation...)
OMG, this is a sad sign if THAT was the highlight of my day!!!!!!
