So on Sunday, as the weather took a break from its colder side, I decided to wash my car. Unfortunately, since the weather has barely been above 20 degrees, my hose was frozen. I could tell as soon as I turned on the hose, that there was still ice somewhere blocking the full pressure. Still, it was enough to wash my car, so I did.
Later that evening, around 6 p.m. my son went to the basement to play. Two seconds after he runs down the stairs he shouts up "Mom! Why is the floor wet?" UGH!!! Are you kidding me? Here the "Lack of pressure" was apparently from a seal or something broken at the spigot location - which goes directly into my washroom in our basement. Our finished basement. Ughhhhhhh!

To add to the stress of all this, our house is currently on the market, which means its spotless. Now I have a huge mess on my hands. Yesterday, I told my husband that if we get any showing requests, we'll have to deny them. Sure enough, right after dinner last night, we got a request for tonight. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
o! Luckily our agent had it moved to tomorrow. But still.
Its being taken care of the best we can for now. There isn't water coming in right now, nonly when I turn on the hose - which we'll have fixed by this weekend. We've soaked up the majority of the water with towels, and are drying the floor with box fans, but I can still smell a bit of musty smell. Our carpet guy is coming over today to see if he can help. But seriously! Can you say stressed?
I've strived for 8 hours sleep Sunday and Monday, but that just isn't happening. I will not rest til this is done and over with. LOL - I never knew selling your house could be so stressful!
