Living is why
Sunday, March 01, 2015
This past Friday at work, the American Heart Association came in and did a presentation for our company. The representative talked about how 4 out of 5 deaths from heart related issues could be prevented with lifestyle modifications. 4 out of 5! WOW.
That really hit home with me. I have a 6 year old daughter and I really want to be around for her always, but I really need to make some changes to ensure that I am healthy enough to be with her, and to do the things I want to with her. Right now my weight is challenging me to live the life that I want to live. I just don't feel as good as I know is possible for me to feel. I have slacked with exercise, and eating recently--largely due to work being super busy. I have to take control and priority of my life.
I'm super excited that I'm a part of the Grey Wolves weight loss challenge for the spring. It's not me competing against anyone else--but rather me competing with myself to be healthier at the end of the challenge than I was at the beginning of the challenge.
Today is March 1st--the perfect time for me to begin again again. One step forward two steps back is still progress!
Let's do this!
