Hello everyone, my name is Jeannie, and I am a sugar addict!
I was listening to a podcast from Chef Aj & Wendy from Healthy Girl's Kitchen (both are huge fans of Dr. McDougall) about sugar addiction when it hit me, I too am a sugar addict!!
One taste & I am off the rails for at least 3 days, never less!!
I have been vegetarian for 8 years, (junk food) vegan for one & have been struggling this year to be 100% whole foods, no processed vegan cheese or veggie burgers.
I have the knowledge & the know how to make this work however, In my life of on again, off again motivation & diets, my desire to lose weight & remain healthy has always been there.
My diet is very impressive to people who know me but, they say I must be sneaking out getting burgers & fries because I still need to lose about 40 pounds.
Once again I have started anew today & am resolved to stick to what all of my beloved Dr's, McDougall, Esselstyn, Barnard, Campbell, Ornish, Popper & Furman have told me is the answer.
I too want to not be tempted by sweets & junk foods!
Maybe all of the other obese people out there suffer the same things I suffer with, addiction to sweets & emotional/stress eating. Send us all positive vibes so we can overcome them
