Great vlog! The Girl Scouts need supporting! I like their cookies, but I probably can't eat them anymore. Now that I am allergic to dairy and eggs. I like to make no bake vegan cookies. They have a ton of sugar in them, though. I would like to figure out how to remove all of the sugar. I need to work on that. I'm not really the best cook. It's something I need to learn how to do. Today's lunch was some ramen noodles, minus the flavor pack, because that's got some meat flavoring in it. I used some brine from a can of chickpeas and peanut butter to make the sauce and added some Chinese 5 Spice to it and a lot of chili powder. It was good that way! I know, not the healthiest option, but I'm glad that I added the protein to it. 394 days ago
I like to make meals and freeze them also. I had left over veggies from my roast and they were calling my name last night, so I added ground turkey and made a soup. Hubby liked it. I have to admit i added salsa. But I even freeze the fruits and veggies already portioned out so i just grab and eat. I cant wait to make the refridgerator bran muffins. Has anyone made them yet? 1703 days ago
Ha, I remember this time of year with the selling of treats, only with me it was with my son and Cub Scouts. The boys don't sell cookies, obviously...they used to sell chocolate candy bars of different types and flavored popcorn. Sweet stuff I can usually pass up easily, it's the salty/savory ones that are my downfall. My son was the same way as me when he was little, and still loves the salty/savory items.
Needless to say, we bought most of his popcorn stuff up so he never had to sell much to outside customers...we kept the selling "in house". LOL
Soup of the Day: Salmon Chowder (but not like it would be at a restaurant). It's a vegetable soup with salmon. It has just a bit of flour to make it creamier, but no dairy at all.
Last year, I did a community supported agriculture program, where I bought a box of locally grown veggies per week for about 6 months. It was way more than I could eat, so I made soup and froze it. Today I needed something healthy and quick, so I turned to the freezer on my lunch break. There was salmon chowder just waiting to be enjoyed. Boy was it good! 1728 days ago

Great Vlog! My hubby bought his yearly Girl Scout Cookies, but this year he did not buy my favorites. Therefore, we contributed to a good cause, but I was not tempted to eat a whole box. 1728 days ago
I have to admit I thought you were gonna sing the C is for cookie song from Cookie Monster. lol
Thanks for sharing with us. I am cooking more at home, which is saving us money and calories. I walk the dog 4 times a dog, not that he needs that but I do. Plus he loves walking. I just purchased the resistance band to start doing the exercise to go w that. My goal is to lose 24 pounds by July. Obtainable I think. I just got the walkmeter which really surprized me. I'm walking 2 miles a day. Whoot Woo. Oh and I just got a scale to do better at portion control. I just started my journey w SP Feb 1 2015, so I'm still a newbee. But I am enjoying the journey so far. My husband brught home a cupcake last night and I didn't even eat any. That's progress. Thou I have to admit it looked sooo good. Well hope you have a great day today. Its 64 here in California.
