Today I finished Day 1 of the 5K your way Rookie Running Training Program! I walk/jogged 1.19 miles in 20 minutes. I know am Slow, but I am really proud of myself. This is just the first step to achieving my goal of running a 5K.
Today for lunch I had broccoli for the first time in years. I am still not a huge fan, but I gobbled it all up.

That is AWESOME! My son ran in CC which is the 5K! I totally understand the hard training you will be doing. Now he runs a couple of 5K's during the summer. His first CC meet ever was the end of August and it was at 4:30 PM and it was hot! Now for CC (cross county) they had to run through woods, up and down hills, etc. He and his friend walked the areas were we could not see them! It was kind of funny. He was in 9th grade. His coach we so mad! He got 33 minutes and was one of the last ones in! He quit after 2 years due to homework, etc. Keep up the good work!
