I know I've been sporadic and inconsistent in my activity lately and hopefully that will change soon. Things have been so hectic. I'm finally back in school and between being a full-time single parent, a full-time college schedule, and working to support Hazel and I, working out is kind of on the back burner. I don't want it to be but I also want a better life where I don't have to depend on anyone but myself to raise Hazel. Even though my job pays well and I do well at it, it's not enough for me when I know I can do better. I have to make school a priority.
The problem with this schedule is I don't have much time to work out. And working out is important to me because it's what controls how healthy I eat. I know diet is more important that exercise when it comes to weight loss but I can't control my appetite without it.
Mom and I did come up with a solution tonight though and I think this may work. Well, I came up with it and mom refined it a bit. I just asked her for an extra half an hour to go to the gym after work and run before I come and pick Hazel up. I hate asking, since she watches her so much already but mom totally understands. I need that break to be free from my busyness. We made an agreement that when I get off work I'll text to see if Hazel is asleep. If she is, I get to go for a run, or whatever 30 minutes of cardio I choose. If Hazel is awake I got straight over to pick her up. I think this may work, I'm even going to pack my gym clothes when I leave tomorrow just in case.
