Yesterday I reached the end of Melissa Bender's 13-week bikini ready body program.
I took some photos, and then stuck them next to some photos I took 3 months ago. Here they are.
My first thought was 'are you kidding me?? 13 weeks and I've achieved NOTHING?!'
My second was 'geezo I hate those folds on my back, will they never go away?'
And then rationality and my kind-voice kicked in.
There ARE changes, you just have to look hard for them. On the front and back Before photos I'm quite a straight line, whereas in the After photos I can see the curve of my pear shape beginning to appear again. And in the side-on photos my tummy and junk in the trunk are definitely smaller in the After photo.
Yes, these are teeny tiny changes. But I know full well that the reason for this is myself, and all the rubbish I chose, every day, to put in my mouth. You can *not* outrun a bad diet. You can't outlift it, outbox it, outzumba it, outyoga it. I know this, and still I kept over-eating.
Yes, girl, they are small changes. Yes, you could have done better, but at least you did SOMETHING.
Yes, I could have done better, and maybe next time I will.
