Another holiday

Monday, February 16, 2015

At least this holiday isn't celebrated by eating. I do enough of that and don't need any encouragement. Those snacks just continue to disrupt my effort to reach another weight goal. I have noticed that I do not have water next to me like I normally do. Will make a better effort to drink the water.

I am glad that I naturally drink a ton of water. I am also finding healthier snacks that I enjoy so I won't crave the junk. I do sliced bananas with salted roasted almonds, apple slices with almond butter, and I will do a small amount of popcorn on the stove in olive oil with only salt on it. I make sure I measure out the popcorn because I used to eat a ton of it at one time.

Mind over matter my friend. You've done it once before you can do it again. I have faith in you.

At least you are looking around for possible reasons to your actions. I have a habit of making excuses instead of owning up to my mistakes. As you said before, you recognized your lack of water and are taking steps to correct the over site :)

Yes, it's the best habit of all - keeping water nearby at all times.

Water is something I definitely slack on - especially in winter. Thanks for the reminder - I'll try much harder today to up the water intake!

I have always struggled to get water in to me. I'm just not someone who is used to drinking the stuff. I have, however, done better the last few days by drinking a full two cup glass full every time I see the glass. 4 glasses a day seems so much less daunting than eight!

Good luck with the snacking. Perhaps you could remove them altogether or at least, put them out of site. emoticon
