I am now the proud owner of another mobility scooter. The new one (to me) is smaller than the other & comes apart in 3 pieces so that I can get it in & out of the car myself. We will still keep the big one for use when distances or generally getting round our local area is required.
I'd always worried that if I had an appointment at the hospital or heaven forbid that something happened to my Mum & she had to go into hospital, I would have to rely on Pete being available to get the scooter in & out of the car for me which in the case of my Mum, wouldn't be possible as she live so far away & Pete wouldn't get the time off work. Now I'm ok.
