A few days in the Dominican

I am truly enjoying myself here in the Dominican Republic. The house where I am staying is right on the beach so I listen to the ocean all day long. Bonus, the beach is very private. When I went for a walk last night I found this neat abandoned hut...
Further down the road on Cabarete Beach is an area where there is a lot of kite surfers. Some of the surfers would lift up into the air and do tricks - it was very cool!
The best part of coming here was getting to see my little guy that I nanny for - he's been here since the beginning of January. They are flying back with me on Tuesday and Tyler says every day, "I don't want to go to cold Pennsylvania"... so we made a disguise - no way will they let him thru security at the airport...
Today we visited Monkey Jungle - very cool place! And there was more than just monkeys:
The peacock was very pretty, but my favorite was the rhino iguana:
The caged monkeys you needed to stay back from - one girl got too close and one guy reached out and grabbed her hair. The stinkers! But they're still cute...
There are only 5 and they are in a huge area - all rescued. The one above was a tourist monkey for years but when he reached maturity he bit a tourist... was then thrown in a small cage for many years, barely fed... when this place got him he was very sickly. They treat him very well now. The place is run by Canadians who started this and built a clinic in 2009. All proceeds go towards treating the locals who can't afford care.
Here is another little guy who was chilling on some lady's head - he was eating his peanuts and had no desire to leave :)
And this guy, well, he's one after my own heart. Why eat just one piece of pineapple when you've got 2 hands?
That's all for now. I'm sure I'll post another segment once I get home because I do take way too many pictures! Hope you all are doing well :) Love you guys!
