A good life

Love that! I am blessed to have a good life. Sure, there have been struggles, despair, worry, anxiety - all that stuff - but there's also been a lot of joy, laughter & contentment.

So I tried to post a vlog the other night. January was a rough month for me. I got in a lot of my exercise but I also made horrible food choices. I put on some pounds & have not adjusted my ticker either! There were days that I was standing in front of the fridge or pantry looking for food and saying out loud, "Diane, you aren't hungry. Turn away." But I didn't. I grabbed something to stuff in my mouth (and never chose the healthy apple or orange). So I was getting really frustrated at how our brains can be so evil to us sometimes! I know what I want to do & how I need to do it, but yet there is still that battle. So I wonder, what do you do to combat the body/brain when it's working against you?

Needless to say, I woke up this morning and decided that since January was a bust, February was going to be a win. I got up and hopped on the bike for 30 minutes. Went up to get my shower and decided to hop on the treadmill before my shower - so I got in 30 minutes there. A short while ago I got on the bike again. My food choices have been good all day. I'm determined to make this work & just pray that my brain doesn't sabotage me!

In less than 2 weeks I'll be taking a trip with my daughter to the Dominican Republic. I'm looking forward to warmth, the ocean, sunrises & sunsets... but the biggest treat will be getting to meet my friend Nora while she is there with her hubby. This is a good life :)

I hope that all of my Spark friends are doing well & staying happy. I know that life can be a struggle at times, but I truly hope that no matter what comes our way, we can find the sunlight peeking through & always find time for laughter. And dancing, of course! Love you guys!
