Good morning my Spark Peeps! Hey, did you happen to read my goals post (my last one before this post)? Do you remember how I outlined my goals and one of them was to blog 3x each week? No, you don't remember that? Well, apparently neither did I!! hahaha
I obviously haven't met that goal, but here's the thing...just because I didn't meet it for the past several weeks doesn't mean that I have to just throw it out because it's too late to meet it 100% of the time!! That's the thing with goals, even if you don't meet them for a day, a week, a month or whatever doesn't mean you can't keep TRYING to meet it. Yes, your success rate won't be very good if you do that, but I would say it's better than quitting entirely, right???
Okay, so a question for ya'll...how do YOU keep your goals (resolutions, intentions, whatever) in the forefront of your mind? Do you have any strategies for making sure you are working towards them???
I'm going to think on this a bit but wanted to hear what the experts think...and that's all of you guys out there in SparkLand!! :-)
My other goals have been a lot better. I've been doing great keeping up with the fruit and veggie intake, especially during the week - weekends are much more difficult. And I can say the same about the water - weekdays are awesome, weekends, not so much. The PT/ST is at 100% success so far. I've been getting that in at least twice each week. And my knee is feeling much better and I've been able to run several times without any discomfort at all. The running a full 5k is one that will take longer to measure as I'm going to be working at building up to that. I'm not currently in training at the moment, so I'm just trying to take it easy and work on rehabbing the knee and building the base strength I need so I can really hit it towards mid-February when training officially starts. The blogging we've already talked about and I'm going to work on that.
As far as the rest of life, I've been feeling out of whack especially since starting school last week. Getting the routine flowing is a little bit of a learning curve, along with the content of my classes. I'm starting to figure out the study methods that will work best for each class though and am confident that it will start to be more routine soon.
I'll be traveling for work a few times in the near future so I'm trying to strategize good eating and exercise while I'm away from my comfort zone. And I'm basically figuring that this weekend is going to be a food fest as we celebrate Super Bowl and my husband's birthday. I will make sure there are fruit and veggie options though for the most part...but I'm okay with celebrating. I just know that the next day it is back to being on point! No excuses!!
So there's a quick overview of where I'm at. And please be sure to share your strategies for keeping your goals in the front of your mind so you are continually working towards achieving them. You'd think I would have it figured out by now, but I don't. LOL
Have a great weekend everyone!
