Honesty day 19: I don't feel anything

So yesterday the scale told me I have lost 8 pounds which is wonderful but I do not feel it. I look at 8 pounds and am really proud of myself but 8 pounds is a lot of weight to not feel a little bit better, in fact I have felt heavier and extremely bloated. I'm wondering could this be from water since all I drink now is water? or could it be that maybe I consume to much salt. In a way it probably could be both but I just think its really weird.

On a happier note I am still happy and moving in the right direction. I have made it a healthy habit now to take my dog on two 30 minute walks a day. One in the morning and one after dinner. Since I bought the spark activity tracker its just so exciting to see the steps just add up. I am on day 20 no soda and day 11 of no coffee. Tomorrow after my run will be the end of couch potato to 5k week 3 and I have to say the workouts start pretty slow but pick up pretty quickly with intensity. I highly recommend participating in the program because after awhile you begin to experience the runners high.

In about 20 days I will be crossing of 3 items on my new years resolutions which are no soda and coffee for 30 days and to get my braille certificate. I am so happy and I have sparkpeople, sparkcoach and all you wonderful people to thank for with all the love and support.

    It's hard not to focus on the scale, when the number on the scale is a way we keep track of progress. I am in a similar boat. I am about 10lbs down, and I don't see a physical difference. I know that 10lbs is good progress toward my goal, but my goal is still pretty far away. I also know that I am more critical of myself than anyone else could possibly be. Perhaps the same is true for you?

    Congrats on the no soda & no coffee! That would be super difficult. Did you experience caffeine headaches when you first started? I gave up soda for one year, but I still drank coffee. I don't know if I could do without both at the same time! Impressive!

    I've been considering doing a Couch to 5K program when things warm up a bit. Glad to hear your recommendation! Keep it up!
