New Year

Monday, January 05, 2015

Happy New Year everyone! This is my first SP blog this year! Unlike many of you with resolutions and new goals, I have decided this year to not do that.

I have heard if you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got. Well, for me that was broken resolutions and unmet goals. I don't want that again this year. So I am doing something different.

OK - I DO have goals. My goal - to be healthier. Not a size 4, not 115 lbs, not to run a marathon. To be healthier!

How am I going to do that? One choice at a time. Yep, one tiny little choice. Is that thing I am doing going to take me closer or further from a healthier me? Sounds pretty simple, but I know it will be tough! Good choices don't come easy to this girl! It will take focus, work, dedication and tenacity!

Ohhh, and it may even take a nudge or a comment to help steer me in the right direction from you!

Thanks to Stephi for breaking it down for me!

Love this!! I too refuse to set a resolution. I am focusing solely on what I can do in THIS moment to continue to heal...every moment.

I so affirm your decision and goal of "one choice at a time", Barb.
    That's how dreams are made!!

Small goals can do wonders. Precision Nutrition recommends setting short-term goals that you feel 90% confident you can make -- Progress, not perfection!

Glad you're back on Walkers, Runners, Joggers & Gadgeteers!

Small steps are great for getting back to healthier choices. I agree, the goal of being healthier is better than other goals (thinner, a certain size, running a marathon, etc). I'm all for being healthier (my number one goal too).
