Good/Bad Habit Bucket Lists

Here it is, my latest scheme to help me find some much needed motivation!

I'm going to make a list of all of the bad habits I'd like to break for good (i.e. nail biting, eating in front of the TV, etc) and work on eliminating them one by one. I'm also going to create a Good Habit Bucket List (i.e. get 8 hours of sleep, eat breakfast, etc) that I can start working them into my routine one by one. I will alternate between the two lists, so I'm never trying to take on or give up too much at once. Hopefully it will create a little balance in my goal setting.

I'm still working out some of the details. I'm thinking about making a nice visual reminder to help me keep track of what I'm working on. Maybe an actual bucket of some kind. I also have to decide how long I should work on breaking or making each habit. Perhaps I can try something new each month? Or perhaps I should take as much time as I need depending on the habit. For example, I think it will take me more time to give up procrastinating household tasks than it will to stop eating fast food. I guess I will just have to see how it goes!

I can't believe it's November already...with the holidays right around the corner, less daylight and so many hearty foods around this can be a very challenging time of year. Hopefully some new goals will be just the thing to help me get motivated!
