The Grace of God!

Looking back over my life I have lived a completely normal life. Nothing extraordinary or tragic has ever happened. Maybe it's because of the way I was raised or my perception of the world, I don't know.
People have questioned how I have dealt with difficult times in my life and my response is I just did it. Looking back I now realize it was the Grace of God!
I was born with Cerebral Palsy. A very slight case on my right side. So slight it went several years without a diagnosis. I had years of PT through a public health clinic where people from all walks of life passed through! Through that experience I learned that anything can be achieved through hard work! I also learned that each person is an individual with their own personalities, and difficulties, but that we have the same need to be understood and loved.
As an adult I married. raised a family, and cared for disabled and elderly family members for over 25 years. I just kept doing what needed to be done!
As a child, I was covered in pray by my family and an extended church family. That continued as an adult, I had a wonderful group of moms like myself who covered me in pray as I did them. Our kids are all young adults and yet we still pass along prayer requests. Our churches were supportive and understanding when my elder care took precedence in my life.
My children have grown into caring and concerned adults who understand helping others is an important value. They learned that starting in our home. They thought community service hours for graduation silly, since they saw their parents helping others from birth.
So simply put I don't have a 'super power'! I have a God who puts me where I need to be to learn what I need to learn and do what I need to do! All of it under His Grace!
