Do I have H Pylori?

My tummy troubles have been in high gear these past few weeks. Went to the minor emergency clinic because I was refluxing so bad!! My throat and chest were on fire! I was also belching like a trucker constantly. It's a really embarrassing problem to have. Even the nurses were making fun of me because instead of answering them I would just belch. It's also bad because some times I can't stop belching long enough to go to sleep. It just goes on and on and on! It takes weeks to get into my GI doc and he's always in a super hurry. By then my symptoms had calmed way down. In the meantime I started to wonder if they'd ever checked me for H Pylori which causes bloating belching and crazy heartburn/reflux. So as he was running out the door after handing me a prescription doubling my Nexium dose, I asked him if I'd ever been tested. He said "no" and he added that it's quite common. Well then why haven't you ever tested me for it , stupid?? Anyways you have to be off all acid reducers for two weeks and said I would be miserable so he said I could take the blood test which would show if i had been exposed to it. I guess that would be proof enough to suspect that I actually have it. I'm going to get my blood test tomorrow and hope that I actually have this bug brewing in my belly. That way they can give me the antibiotics to kill it and end my misery. I really am miserable when these episodes occur. I missed three days last week because it's too embarrassing to come in when this is happening.
