I Have Missed Sparking!

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

Wow, I haven't been on here forever. Life got a little overwhelming for me and recently it got a lot overwhelming. This past year I let things go and really got out of some good habits. I decided that I needed to get back on the wagon and get my healthy back on - "when . . . ". And "if". I gave myself a final talking to and decided that I was going to jump back into Sparking as soon as this latest move was over.

I'm in the middle of moving 5 kids and 4 dogs to a state we've only been to once, and that once was to pick out a house. We are leaving this house this week and won't have the keys to our new home for probably another two weeks. I decided that it was a poor time to get a grip on my fitness.

I reached my goal last year (just before another move) and had my reward - a breast reduction. Recovering (and just breathing) led to a 20 lb weight gain. I just looked at my SP weight tracker and it's EXACTLY where I am now. Kinda weird. :-)

I started getting emails from SparkPeople late last night. :-) So my brain is churning with ideas on how to work out and make decent food choices. I've done it before - had a big move while training - I can do it again!

Thank you, SparkPeople, yet again, for keeping me on track!!

    Glad to see you back!

I'm in the middle of moving, though mine doesn't sound quite as stressful as yours (only the two of us, and we're moving from 2 apartments in 2 cities to one house in the second city), so I understand the difficulty of fitness goals while moving! Not to mention the challenges of making healthy food choices when your kitchen is all in boxes. Just do the best you can, remember that baby steps lead to real progress, and stay positive! You can do this!

Moving is HARD, even if its just next door...so good luck and I'm sending prayers for your sanity right now! emoticon There are certainly ways to incorporate working out and eating healthy in the midst of ANY chaos but make sure that you don't exhaust yourself even more over it. emoticon emoticon
