I didn't have a car yesterday and the weather was beautiful so I decided to walk to the local library. The round trip, including returning a book and checking out two new ones that were on hold, took just about 3 hours. It was harder than I expected, to tell the truth. I ended up with a small blister and my knees felt stiff by the end of the walk. My goodness, how do those marathoners do it?!??
But it was good exercise and a good lesson in how long things take without wheels. I also got a much better look at the neighborhood than the usual breeze-by.
