More fall colors- a walk around the lake and neighborhood
Monday, October 20, 2014
On Sunday, we had a few errands to run, laundry to do and groceries to buy so I knew we couldn't do a big walk, but I looked at the lake in Minneapolis that is quite popular and decided to go there for our walk on Sunday.
Here are a few pics from that and then a walk around our neighborhood.
Lake Calhoun was very busy on this very beautiful day.
The trees are just so gorgeous this time of year.
The Minneapolis skyline
I think this is a thistle but the flowers from it are beautiful. These pics are from my neighborhood where I took Juno for a stroll.
A neighbors tree
These brave flowers have survived the few cold nights we have had so far.
Our front yard with our beautiful tree that we will be busy raking up leaves from soon!
One of the bushes in our front yard.
The little tree in our backyard that is gorgeous this time of year as well, even if it also will be keeping me busy soon!
Thanks for walking along with me and I hope everyone is having a great Monday!
That is lovely! I just spent 10 days in Texas, and loved walking in San Antonio! The riverwalk was so fun! But there was not that beautiful fall color like you have. One of the few things I miss from up north! TFS 1980 days ago
I love these pics. We are so alike-I can't look at the gorgeous colors in the trees or at a sunset without marveling at it and wanting to take a picture! My kids think I'm nuts. Thank you for making me fell I'm not nuts, and for appreciating the beauty around us and sharing it! You are awesome! 1990 days ago

Wow, you are enjoying some beautiful fall color! I am not sure what the colors are going to be like here this year. We enjoyed a tiny bit of color early in the season but then it got very dry and with no rain for several weeks a lot of the leaves just dried up and fell off. But I have seen some tinges of color here and there and so I still hope that in the next couple of weeks will enjoy some vibrant shades fall as well! 1991 days ago
So pretty, just love that tree on your page, would love to have it, but don't think it would be the same. My trees are not turning so warm. Beautiful lake and flowers, I have some o the same flowers too, Love it. 1992 days ago
I enjoy the beautiful photos you take. My DH has been taken pictures around the ponds and on the streets of the beautiful leaves still ion the trees here in Burnsville. I remember having to rake piles of leaves back at the house, but much of them were from neighbors trees. I finally got out of raking when my fall allergies hit me. Keep taking the pictures, many of us love seeing the beauty of nature this time of year. 1992 days ago
Just gorgeous pictures! You still have flowers, that is so awesome. We are at peak with our tree colors here is lower Michigan, however the flowers are gone, with the exception of mums. We had two nights in a row that got to 26 degrees whatever was still here is gone.
Awww.... Your pictures are absolutely breathtaking! The leaves on the trees are gorgeous! You are so fortunate to have beautiful trees in your front and backyard! Looks like you had a wonderful walk on Lake Calhoun yesterday! Thank you so much for sharing your walk! I hope your week is full of lots of love and happiness! Hugs and love, 1992 days ago
