Yes I did go to the Doctor and received yet another pill. UGH! I'm giving it some time, but am disappointed that the source of my digestive system distress is still a mystery.
I would like to thank all my Spark friends who have urged me to address this issue. When not feeling well it is challenging to be a self advocate. Succumbing to resignation is not what I desire, Resolution is.
This weekend I attended the Coventry Regional Farmers' Market with my husband. He had never been and was impressed with the huge selection.
Native strawberries,(yes native) heirloom apples, tomatoes he had never seen, etc. Thankfully we haven't been hit with a frost yet.
So what did I do to be able to attend, Skip taking meds and eating until after we returned home, Perhaps by this coming weekend the will be improvement.
I want to live life without fear.

I hear you about taking one more pill - I would hope they could solve the problem but then maybe this particular pill will.

I always snickered at older people who had to take their meds - well guess what I'm here and taking 4 meds! Hopefully no more!!!

Keep looking for the things that work for you and make you feel better.

It's so good that you are persisting in finding the answer to the problem Not easy but you are determined.

And like you I was so surprised to find local Ontario strawberries at the grocery store in the fall!

I am so sorry that your life is so impacted by these "digestive issues" that you fear leaving the house! That's just NOT RIGHT.

Something is wrong. I hope you will continue to search, to try different doctors, perhaps a specialist? until you get a diagnosis.

I know you don't want to hear horror stories, but both my parents were pooh-poohed by doctors who didn't diagnose what was wrong with them until it was too late. While it isn't their fault, I think doctors diagnose based on WHAT THEY KNOW, what they are familiar with, and often are not willing to dig deeper.

Unfortunately, we can't always just accept what the doctors say and we have to be our OWN advocates until we get someone who's going to dig for the real answer.
