"Back in the Saddle"

Tuesday, September 23, 2014

This morning I got up and did 30 minutes on the elliptical and was ready for the day before the daycare kids came. First time in over a month. It was nice to get moving again. Besides I missed reading emoticon

I adhered to my trainer's eating plan except for afternoon snack. I had the last Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffin...temptation is now gone... and a bowl of ice cream after supper. No more ice cream for me for awhile now. But I was able to stay within my calorie range for the day.

I finished piecing the fourth baby quilt this morning. This afternoon I quilted the third one. And tonight I hand-stitched the binding on two of them. So, now I just have to quilt and bind the fourth one.

You're so crafty! Do you quilt by hand or use a machine? I want to get more into making things like quilts and crocheting/knitting things; my mom (machine) sewed all of our Halloween costumes and some of our clothes when we were little kids, and I've always wanted to try it. Any recommendations on where to start if I decided to jump into quilting/knitting/crocheting?
