Flax Crackers

Tuesday, September 23, 2014

I made flax seed meal crackers today. I got the recipe from eggsmeatrepeat.blogsot.com They turned out to be perfect for tuna salad. I have to keep making these homemade substitutes for things that are normally around the house. Little things like crackers or puffed snacks are hard to replace when you look in the grocery store. I am looking for low carb recipes to try. Recipes found on Sparkpeople and on Pinterest give me hope.

Oh my goodness. I am back and sorry that I did not respond. That was like 2 years ago. The recipe is any seed meal, like sesame, or flax seed ground up and placed with just enough water to make moist. Add seasonings like salt or parmesan cheese. Bake at 300 degrees until crisp. I got the recipe from Pinterest.

I made multi-seed crackers once. What amazed me was that I didn't think these could be made at home. I've been programmed that only a factory could make them. I discovered them when i was doing a raw diet for a week. Isn't it amazing?
