For many years, I did not participate or attend local events. Mostly, while I was a kid, it was because we did not have the money for admission. Also, my dad often scoffed at the events that were available in our area, calling them low brow or redneck entertainment. He came from Europe, and had a rather higher idea of what was acceptable as entertainment.
Later on... since I never went in my youth, I never developed the desire to attend such events as a young adult. It wasn't until later in my adult life... after moving and spending almost 10 years away from Dryden, that I developed the desire to spread my wings and attend local events. I credit my neighbor for that. She helped me get out of my insecure shell, and try new things.
These days, it is almost difficult to keep me indoors. The only thing that seems to do that these days, is seriously ill health, and extremely bad or cold weather... and even then, I will often sneak outside for short times. LOL
Recently, I attended a local event in Dryden. Last week our town hosted its annual fall fair. Here are some pictures from the event. I had an incredibly good time at it, and am glad that I attended it.

Some of the cows and horsies that were shown.

All in all, I had a lot of fun, and had an enjoyable and busy day at the fall fair. Hopefully, I will be able to enjoy many more to come.
