In 12-Step programs we are taught to HALT! That is--never get too:HUNGRY, ANGRY, LONELY, or TIRED. Also, ( BORED.) This is excellent advice and last week I violated it! I got too tired! It was playing music all week, beginning with Wednesday evening, when I w orked with the teens of our parish for their upcoming Holy Hour and Teen Mass which they are doing along with a benefit supper for a little girl who has brain cancer. Thursday evening & Friday, I played three Masses for the Holy Day (Assumption), and then played again the three Masses for the weekend. The result was that I was worn out and had a binge on Saturday evening. However, it was a mild one compared to some I have done in the past. Sunday, I got myself together and got back on track. When I weighed this morning, I was surprised. My weight did not reflect the binge. Maybe I burned off all the calories in my efforts or maybe I was lucky. Thanks be to God!!!!!!!! P. S. I added the BORED, because it affects me just like the others!
