I just woke up one day and decided I didn't want to feel like this anymore, or ever again.
SO I CHANGED!
I had lots of excuses for not being able to change, but at the end of the day, they we were excuses. Being able to change starts with your DECISION TO CHANGE!
As I read this paragraph this morning I thought YES this is me. For the past 20 years I have been losing weight. You know lose, gain, lose, gain. It wasn't until a few months I decided to change my mind. I was no longer on the journey to lose weight. My new journey was to get healthy.
I changed the way I cooked. I added whole grains, beans, and more veggies into the meals I made. I searched for recipes at healthy websites. I tried new foods to see if liked them. I made different choices when eating out. I feel 100% better taking charge of my eating habits.
Today during my cycle class my mind wandered to how could I increase my exercise to make my body stronger and healthier. I attend my cycle class 3 times a week which does give me a great cardio workout. I lift weights when I'm part of a challenge or my friend calls me to work out on the weekend I decided I need to make a change to make Strength Training a bigger part of my healthy journey.
I found a great plan on pinterest which gives me a schedule for 12 months using both cardio & Strength Training to help me along my journey
