Being on vacation makes me aware that I want to eat as soon as I am not occupied with something else... When at work I don´t think about food and it comes sort of "natural" to eat at meal time. But being at home all day is hard because I tend to think too much about what to eat and when to eat... better find a solution to ths before I retire...

Remembered to photograph food - salmon, carrots and rice:

Today I am going to a meeting where lunch is served - a buffet, will be nice.

Good Morning, Retired, yes. I do have a good breakfast every day; then I graze through the day as I live alone and don't have to schedule around others. A day in the garden and lunch may not be until mid afternoon. Like you, when I'm working on something--inside or out--I don't even think about eating. IF it's something I enjoy! If it's a chore, eating becomes an escape; probably the origin of the "coffee break". My grazing is healthy because I don't keep junk food in the house. I still count calories and keep track of what I eat through the day. Graze-yes; but no mindless eating.

I am retired and I have to plan my meals too, otherwise the snacks become too frequent.
A buffet for lunch ,sounds good. enjoy.

I am retired and in lots of ways have conquered the wish to graze all day - UNLESS there are things I really don't want to do. At those moments I sit down with an illegal sandwich as displacement activity. Am working on the habit and am trying to follow advice from another Sparker - 'instead of eating something do something physical that will please you'. Doesn't get the unpleasant tasks out of the way, but at least I'm not eating unnecessarily - when I find the will power!

since i work from home, i have to be very careful of this. in bad times, it "gets" me. i try to make "rules" for myself, and in good times, i follow them well. but sometimes… ah well. i try to take a glass of water or cup of tea, and hope for the best, or plan what i can have when i do go past the kitchen. or just not have the "wrong" choices available. it's not always easy:-(

... And sauce! I always like the sauce best! grin.

For some reason I haven't gotten the notifications for your blog so I missed quite a few, I found out. I'm sorry. Going to see if I can catch up.

I am so much like this. I teach, so I have two months in the summer that become a battle field of eating. I know it is boredom, or emotional eating, but I eat anyway. I need to get it under control!
