Day 5 of 5% Summer Challenge

I must admit I am dragging today. I am running on inspiration, motivation, desire, dedication and spark power. There isn't much in the tank! I think it is the humidity and all these gray, rainy days. I feel drained.
Anyhow, I did get on the treadmill this morning and walked. I also was able to get a half hour walk in at noon time. Tonight I have a board meeting to attend, but plan on walking afterwards. I will have about 60 minutes of working out to get in to get the maximum 120 points. Eeeks!!!
I also didn't pack a lunch today. I just didn't plan well, there was nothing home to pack AND I was too lazy to think about it much. I did have a 6 inch subway with just turkey and spinach on it. Luckily I had a stash of apples in the refrigerator at work so I did have some fruit.
Positive side - I am grateful I have a couple walking buddies at work. We encourage each other when one of us doesn't want to - and yes we do stoop to a little guilt and shame - in a kind and loving way (if there is such a thing). Besides the walk goes much quicker when there is someone to talk with. Not to mention one of the girls is a FAST walker and keeps us on a brisk pace. AND I must admit I do feel a bit more energetic after walking! Funny how that works.
I'm hoping to get home and get outside for a walk after my meeting and do some strength training. I really WANT to get the maximum exercise points in my challenge!!! I know I don't HAVE to, but I WANT to and this is something I have complete control over - soooooo given that there aren't many things in life I have complete control over, I think I should use that control and go for it!!!
Of course the lazy gremlins in my head are telling me to kick my shoes up and take a nap on the couch. We will see who wins!
