Food Tracking

Food Tracking is soooo dificult for me. I have tracked everything I ate for 2 days now, and I love it but its so time consuming and a pain in the ass. How to overcome it? Maybe I need to really give this some thought. I have gone thru my whole life without really knowing what i feed my body and this habbit is hard to break.

Things I think will help:

- Plan my meals (every meal and snack)
- add my meals to my "favorites" under the nutrition tracker for easy access
- eat the same things over and over so that tracking in less time consuming (foods i enjoy)

What else?
what else will help me stay on track?

    Once you get all of the foods that you eat regularly saved as favorites it'll get much easier to track your food. I love the ability to set up groups too!

    I have groups set up for everything... like a group for spaghetti that includes the sauce, noodles, meat, and cheese. Then all I have to do is select one option from groups tab instead of entering each individual item, which definitely saves time.

    I have the app and I figured out the barcode scanner just the other day.
    I think youre right, the more I use it the easier it will become.
    I tried the copying foods today and worked like a charm. I just went thru and deleted what I didnt want copied since it groups it together.
    I am having the same smoothies every morning so thats easy.
    I am having the same yogurt and granola every day for snack, now I just need to come up with a dinner I can live with every other day or so.

    A couple of shortcuts are copying meals. I typically will eat the same salad, or snack , or breakfast a couple days in a row....all I have to do is copy from the day I tracked previously over to the new day.

    The staples I always eat are in my favorites and certain meals that I have for dinner I save as a meal with a name. :)

    It gets easier the more you do it....also have the app. on my phone....sometimes I'll take a pic. of what I ate and when ithe day slows down I track it in my app. :)

    Do you have the app on your phone? I love using the bar code scanner - almost everything I've tried is already in there - and it makes it fast to track.
