Ed's doing very well. His sense of humour is back. Ie. today when the dr asked him - " Who is this lady?" Pointing at me he said- "That's no lady that's my wife !!!" . The dr (who is from a foreign country) was still laughing at that joke hours later ! I know it's a really old joke but the best part is that he gave the Right Answer. It was such a joyful relief after all of the times he misidentified me, although the last time he said that I was his Mother. Between you & me - I always say that we are the perfect couple because I needed a baby & he needed a mother emoticon He's started drinking milk & juice & little bits of food. He didn't need dialysis this week. They want to watch him this weekend & Monday they will make " The Definitive Decision" to release Ed to the beautiful ... Restorative & skilled nursing facility that was my first choice.

This is such good news, Renata! Being sick can make Alzheimer's patients very confused, so it shows that your dear husband has really recovered now. My mother is in a much much advanced stage of the illness, and she sometimes call me 'Mom' but I don't mind: it means she still knows I am dear to her and I love her.
I am looking forward to reading more good news of your DH's release from the hospital on Monday! emoticon emoticon
