Days 17, 18, 19 of 100 - Crazy Busy

Saturday, June 07, 2014

The last few days have been crazy busy.

Thursday night, I had my 4 granddaughters. We had a lot of fun playing. When their parents came to pick them up at 9:30, it began to rain and hail. So, they decided to wait out the storm. They didn't leave until almost 11:00. Needless to say I didn't get my sparking & blog done that evening.

Friday morning I say my orthopedic doctor about my knees. The appeal to the insurance company for Supartz injections in my knees was denied. He gave me 3 options.
1--Cortisone shots, which he did in both knees. They didn't help as I am still having pain today.
2--Arthoscopic surgery again
3--Partial knee replacement.
I will see him again in 3 weeks. We will discuss further at that time what my next step will be.

Friday evening we went out to dinner and to Sam's Club. We got home late and I needed to finish sewing on the binding to a baby quilt I was making for a shower Sat morning.

Saturday morning I go up early and went to the gym for a session with my trainer. We did upper body and abs, since the doctor ordered no exercise with the legs for a couple of days.

When I got home I worked on balancing my checkbook -- which it didn't and I got all flustered. This made me late getting ready for the baby shower. I almost walked out the door without the present. Then I got a mile down the road and my husband called asking about the banana bread I had left on the counter -- which was for the shower. So I was late!

Afterwards my husband met me and we went to my daughter and son-in-law's new house -- they were moving in today. I couldn't help with boxes, but I did help unpack and organize her kitchen.

On the way home we stopped to get a couple of things at Wal-Mart where we realized we had forgotten to pick up my husband's car. So, we had to go back up to Lonetree to get it (about 20 minutes away).

I'm tired and ready to head for bed.

Love the quilt Carrie. You have had a busy, busy time and I sure don't see how you did all that you got done. Just flip and start again. I know it is frustrating when dealing with insurance. ((HUGS))

Oh my, Carrie. What a week end! The quilt is beautiful and I am sure will bless the new family. I hope today that your knees are feeling better. So impressive that you didn't use them as an excuse to not work out. You can have excuses or results. You can't have both. I hope today you are resting and taking care of yourself. Keep up the good work. You are amazing! emoticon
