I have had a fitbit for some time. I usually count my steps and am good with that number. However, now I am doing this virtual walk thing and I am setting a lofty goal of walking 7/5-8 miles per day. Yes, I said WALK, not run.
Anyhow, yesterday I walked 4 miles according to map my walk gps, I did 1.5 miles at noon and did 3 miles on my treadmill. I thought I was at 8.5 miles, plus all the miscellaneous steps during the day.
When I synced my fitbit, I had 6.74 miles????? I know that my stride measurement in my settings must be wrong. So I attempted to adjust it this morning. I did 2 miles on my treadmill. Fitbit says I am at 1.8 miles. I am still not quite there.
My question is - do I increase my stride number - or decrease it? No worries about a running stride number because I do not run due to knee replacement.
Any suggestions? I really want to meet my goals!!!!! I'm working too hard to have some silly device mess it up!
