I can't believe it'll be June tomorrow!
We haven't had much of a spring, but it was beautiful today, and I took advantage of it with three good walks.
Without further ado, here are my numbers for May, compared to April:
FITNESS:
Steps: 318,448 up from 270,664
Average steps per day: 10,272 up from 9,022
Fitness Minutes: 3,780 up slightly from 3,355 (down from 4,462 in March... sigh, not making that 5,000 a month goal at all lately!)
Calories Burned: 22,732 up from 19,563
Average calories burned per day: 733 up from 652
FOOD:
The last week has been STELLAR. The week before that, terrible. The two weeks before that, moderate but not great, and thus when I started this week I was creeping back up to 140. Yikes.
This 7-day streak has shown me that I CAN recommit. And feel satisfied and happy with my mostly-Primal choices and not go all carb-crazy. I am eating a ton of avocado (often one a day), gobs of greens, lots of veggies, and fairly large portions of high-quality protein like uncured bacon, organic chicken, humanely raised pork, the best eggs money can buy, Cabot butter and cheese, etc... I am SO psyched that my town is opening a farmer's market FINALLY, this week! It's been a long time coming!
I am actually enjoying having my fitness tracker communicate with my calorie allotment, as well, and feeling like I really know how much I should be eating to fuel my workouts. (I still think they're giving me maintenance range, so typically I'm at least 500 below the max).
WEIGHT & MEASUREMENTS
Ending weight: 134.5 (but I think I'm retaining water from Body Pump yesterday so could actually be lower!) Starting weight: 138ish
Waist: same at 28
Hips: same at 38 1/2
Bust: 37, down from 38 1/2 - Oh, good, I lost those 3 1/2 pounds in my boobs only

--or maybe I had a little bit of back fat that's been melted away.
As far as my goals went, I've done really well with moving away from machines to free weights, including two more Body Pump classes. I quit working at the gym halfway through the month because I just couldn't take the long hours for low pay and had no energy to job-hunt elsewhere which I absolutely have to do. So I was gym-less for two weeks there. I worked out with a friend at hers twice, which was nice, but I ended up going back to join the one I worked at so I'd have pool and sauna access and classes, which her basic box gym doesn't have.
I have been doing a yoga sequence to finish out my workout a couple of days a week, which has felt amazing, and I'm glad I'm getting back to it. (Now, time to make it to classes at the gym which I could never make when I was working!)
I feel REALLY GOOD about my gains and being back on track and totally psyched to ROCK OUT JUNE.
Who's with me?!
