Key to LEARNING the NATURE of WILLPOWER...

I often see people complaining about their lack of Willpower.

I've taught about Willpower for nearly ten years - written about it, radio shows, videos, and have developed a mental fitness training program to that regard.

The simplest start for anybody wanting to know more about building personal Willpower is to learn, first, how to control ATTENTION.

Attention is both the root of and EXPRESSION of Will.

A person who sits down on a daily basis to PRACTICE controlling Attention is simultaneously strengthening and learning about the true nature of Willpower.

The lessons learned through practice are then applied to daily scenarios in which one's Will is challenged by impractical impulses, temptation, and lousy habits.

    Hi, SETTIMIA - I can make no recommendations inasfar as meditation disciplines, however, I do know that any effective and worthwhile meditation discipline involves the taming of Attention from the outset as a dominant goal. That said, one does not need to sign up for meditation training for that purpose. The fundamental cognitive skills used in making excellent progress in all practical forms of meditation are the same cognitive skills centered around controlled use of Attention utilized in Sports Psychology to assist top athletes.     mentalfitness ). Were I to break my rule of not recommending specific meditation practices, I'd advise to take a look at Mindfulness as it aligns brilliantly with being able to better carry out Law of Attraction principles.

    Hiya, first well done for all your fitness achievements. Thanks for the insight on the lack of will power.

    Do you use meditation in your practices? If so can you recommend anything. I have started off with some Abraham Hicks clips on youtube, hoping to get the book 'The Vortex' soon.
