Day one down!!!

So met all of my daily goals yesterday. Ended up with 13,000+ steps on the fitbit. I was content with my efforts! I wanted to see if Mr Scale approved, but I didn't go there!
I was a bit worried about today - meeting an old friend who I haven't seen in a bit. We were going to hook up at a local restaurant after work, have dinner and chat. I worried that if we chatted too long, I would be on the ol treadmill in the late hours trying to get my 10,000 steps in!
I got up early and did a mile and a quarter before work. I planned on walking during the lunch hour but it is a bit breezy, cold and drizzling on and off - so I opted not to walk. I have almost 6,000 steps as of now - so I thought I'd be able to get another 1,500 just in my normal activity - which would leave me to doing a mile and a half around 9pm.
Much to my surprise, my friend texted and asked if I would mind meeting at the pool at the Y and we could sit along the ledge in the pool and do some pool exercises while we talked. Yippee!!! So no eating bad temptations AND a little exercise, even if it isn't hard cardio, it will be moving! Sometimes I love my friends!
