I am feeling good about my journey. My utmost goal is to eat healthier and exercise at least 5 days a week. I didn't really commit to my journey until April 1st and my doctor wants me to lose 30 pounds by October 3rd which I believe is doable - I don't think I really committed then, just to exercising and tracking calories.

My biggest challenge is cooking and eating unprocessed foods. Thus far I have exercising down and last night I made the choice to stop wasting my time if I am not going to eat where it is beneficial to my health and losing the pounds. After leaving the gym and exercising for 95 minutes - I went straight to the grocery store - my grocery list was short -

5 oranges
5 yellow apples
5 bananas
2 bundles of asparagus

I already had eggs, oatmeal, brown sugar, raisins, turkey, fat free cheddar cheese and Pepperidge Farm Light Wheat bread, fat free milk and my slim fast powders. I am getting about 2.5 liters of water consumed everyday...So today is day one and I plan to stay committed. Let's see what this change will bring. Next weigh in is scheduled for May 23rd -

These were my stats on April 23rd
170.2 - weight
11.5 inches - right arm
11.0 inches - left arm
40.0 inches - chest
34.5 inches - waist
43 inches - hips
28.0 inches - right thigh
27.0 inches - left thigh

I will journal about the food changes and definitely will update on May 23rd.

Commitment is key!
