OK, so today's isn't as successful a report. I slipped in a chocolate puddle on Easter and ate my way out! OK, it wasn't QUITE that bad, but definitely slipped off the straight even if it's not so narrow road. A few more carbs, a bunch more sugar, a tad more salt - how quickly a pound or three can pop right back on!
The only good part is I caught myself pretty well, pretty quickly. But now that I have the taste of sugar again, i'm finding sweets harder to resist again.
The extra few pounds are slipping back off slowly. If I'm not back to my pre-Easter weight by the end of next week. I think I'll do one week of DASH Phase One to get back on track.
I am still watching the salt pretty well, though. I went to our cafeteria at work today, and looked at the lunch selections. One looked pretty healthy until I looked at the posting - 1273 mg of sodium!!!! Practically a whole day's worth! Naturally, I chose something MUCH lower - pesto chicken sandwich at 190 mg, with vegies and some soft frozen yogurt. Yum!
